DESCRIPTION:The Pasadena Symphony Association is a  non-profit organization\, founded in 1928 by Conductor Reginald Bland. Originally named the Pasadena Civic Orchestra\, its first members were mostly volunteer musicians\, many of whom were students of Bland. The annual operating budget was a mere $3\,500\, which was funded entirely by the City of Pasadena. Because of the tremendous support it continually received from the local community\, the Pasadena Symphony grew into a nationally recognized\, fully professional orchestra. The Pasadena Symphony Association officially merged the Pasadena Symphony and POPS in 2007. \nOver the past 80 years\, the Pasadena Symphony has artistically matured into one of the top performing symphonic ensembles in southern California\, comprised of the most gifted and sought after musicians from the motion picture film industry. With extensive credits in the film\, television\, recording and orchestral industry\, the musicians of Pasadena Symphony and POPS are the most heard in the world. \nThe Pasadena Symphony and POPS performs in two of the most extraordinary venues in the United States: Ambassador Auditorium\, known as the Carnegie Hall of the West\, and the luxuriant Los Angeles Arboretum & Botanic Garden. DESCRIPTION:Epicurean Charitable Foundation (ECF) is comprised of more than 20 top food and beverage and hospitality executives who are dedicated to enriching the lives of deserving local students passionate about a career in hospitality or culinary arts. Through scholarships and mentorship opportunities\, these gifted\, but often financially underprivileged\, students are provided with the means to pursue their dreams and become future leaders of the Las Vegas hospitality industry. \nThe Foundation’s primary charitable endeavor is the establishment of annual scholarship awards for Clark County high school students seeking careers in the culinary and hospitality industries. ECF selects its scholarship recipients based on academic ability\, extracurricular achievements\, personal background and financial need. \nECF awards numerous academic scholarships annually to Clark County high school graduates. Scholarship recipients receive financial support of up to $48\,000 that goes toward tuition\, books and other fees. Students also benefit from the guidance and support of the Future Leaders of Hospitality Program\, which pairs a student and board member together for the duration of the student’s education. The mentor provides guidance\, support and assistance with job and internship placement upon graduation. \nTo support the scholarship program\, ECF holds an annual gala that has quickly become one of the most popular events on the Las Vegas social calendar. M.E.N.U.S. (Mentoring and Educating Nevada’s Upcoming Students) is hosted by one of the city’s world-class resorts and features dining stations offering samples from some of the finest restaurants in town and live entertainment. SUMMARY:Animal Network Cause for Paws
DESCRIPTION:Animal Network is a 501(c)(3) not for profit corporation with years of experience dedicated to rescuing homeless and abandoned animals from the streets\, shelters and owners who can no longer care for their animals. By working with committed volunteers\, foster homes\, shelters\, other rescue organizations\, local veterinarians\, trainers and boarding facilities they are able not only to find loving homes for these animals but solutions to help owners keep their animals. They have a network of volunteers and supporters who generously volunteer their time\, resources\, homes and hearts to help them succeed. Unfortunately\, they do not have a centralized physical shelter instead they house their companion animals in boarding facilities or volunteer’s homes. They also try to help owners so they do not have to lose their four legged family member with medical assistance and short term temporary boarding when possible. They pride ourselves in taking the animals that no other rescue will help and they do not discriminate by breed. Additionally\, they encourage spay/neuters and microchipping of all animals and will pay for an owned animal while remaining in the owners custody. \nSunBuggy is proud to donate to this worthwhile cause!  We are donating a package worth over $440 with the hope that it will benefit the Animal Network Cause for Paws.

SUMMARY:Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation
DESCRIPTION:The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation consists of active fire department personnel providing support to victims of fires & catastrophic events. The Burn Survivor Initiative raises funds to help more children attend seasonal burn camps\, receive counseling and attend school reintegration programs. The Burn Foundation also collects toys for the disadvantaged children throughout the valley\, and have provided at least one toy to thousands of children in need during the holidays.\nWhile fighting fires\, firefighters witnessed many burn victims and their families suffer physically and emotionally after ultimately losing their homes and necessities. These firefighters from across the valley decided to do something to help. Each year\, thousands of children receive traumatic burns throughout the USA. In Las Vegas alone\, the scars caused by burns affect hundreds of our kids each year. These scars must be worn physically and emotionally for the remainder of their lives. The Burn Survivor Initiative raises funds to help more children attend seasonal burn camps\, receive counseling\, attend school reintegration programs and begin living their lives again. \nWhen firefighters anywhere in the valley are faced with a burn victim or family in need of support\, they contact a representative of the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation to assist. \nDue to the firefighters’ success in helping others and raising funds\, this coalition began to take it further in the community and began to collect toys during the month of December\, for the disadvantaged children throughout the valley. The Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation have provided at least one toy to thousands of children in need during the holidays. For over 16 years\, they have held successful Toy Drives and given back to the children in our community. \nIn 2003 it became apparent that it was time for this coalition to become a formal charity. We became a 501c3 charitable organization and continue to provide support to those families in need throughout Southern Nevada today. \nSunBuggy is proud to donate to this worthwhile cause!  We are donating two packages worth over $500 with the hope that it will benefit the Firefighters of Southern Nevada Burn Foundation.

SUMMARY:That Others May Live Foundation
DESCRIPTION:In 1998 two HH-60G Rescue helicopters experienced a tragic mid-air collision during a night training mission on the Nellis AFB\, NV range complex. This catastrophic accident caused the deaths of 12 Airmen leaving 8 children behind. In the aftermath of this tragedy a fund was started at a local Las Vegas bank to accept donations for the children of these brave Airmen. Not long afterwards in 1999 another Nellis AFB Rescue Airman was killed in the line of duty while on deployment to Operation Southern Watch and another fund was started to assist his two young sons. \nThe founders of these two independent assistance funds soon realized that they could be more effective if they combined their efforts. In that process they also realized that there is a much greater need than those few children and decided to pool their resources and expand their efforts to provide for the children of any Air Force Rescue Airmen who was killed executing the Air Force Rescue mission from the Kobar Towers terrorist attack in 1996 and forward. In May 2002 That Others May Live Foundation was officially founded and has continued to support the families of USAF Rescue Heroes since. \nOver time the number of beneficiary children has grown from the original 8 to a current roll over 30 known children in need of post-secondary educational funding. Following the tragic shoot down of an HH-60G in Afghanistan in June 2010 TOML-F decided to expand its mission again and provide immediate tragedy assistance for the families of USAF Rescue Airmen who are killed or severely injured in combat. As of November 2014\, That Others May Live Foundation has provided college assistance for ten children\, provided immediate tragedy assistance funds for twenty three families of killed or injured Airmen and continues holding Warfighter appreciation events at Air Force bases with Rescue personnel. \nThat Others May Live Foundation mission is to assist with providing a college education for every child who has lost a parent during an operational or training Air Force Rescue mission as well as provide immediate tragedy assistance and Warfighter appreciation events. \nSunBuggy is proud to donate to this worthwhile cause!  We are donating a package worth over $800 with the hope that it will benefit the Nevada Childhood Cancer Foundation.
