SUMMARY:Heaven Can Wait - Holiday Luncheon
DESCRIPTION:Heaven Can Wait Animal Society\, a non-profit 501(c)3 animal humane organization\, was formed in 2000 by a group of 5 concerned citizens with the idea of building a beautiful 20 acre sanctuary to house all of the unwanted animals in our community.  At the time\, though\, animals were dying at rate of around 30\,000 per year in our local shelters.  As they took the time to research how other communities reduced their impound and euthanasia rates\, they discovered a common denominator: spay/neuter.  Therefore\, they decided to refocus the majority of their resources away from rescue and toward promoting spay/neuter as the solution to the tragic pet-overpopulation problem here in Las Vegas.  Through their targeted and aggressive spay/neuter programs they prevent thousands of unwanted litters each year. \nSunBuggy is happy to donate 2 gift certificates.  Each one valued at over $450. \n

DESCRIPTION:Clark County Fire Department oversees the state’s largest volunteer force with 150 volunteers\, who work for free to serve in the rural parts of the County at 10 volunteer stations. These men and women are committed to protecting life\, property\, and the environment without receiving payment for their time. \nAs volunteers\, they are dedicated to continually train\, maintain our equipment and respond to the calls for help we receive\, to assist our neighbors and community whenever the need arises. Volunteer firefighters\, EMTs and medical first responders have worked long and hard this year in very hot conditions putting out fires\, attending to those hurt in accidents and taking care of those with emergency medical ailments. \nSunBuggy is proud to donate to this worthwhile cause!  We are donating two package each worth over $440 with the hope that it will benefit the Clark County Volunteer Fire Fighters.

DESCRIPTION:Twice a month Mark Shunock gathers an eclectic cast of guests including stars from Hollywood\, the Strip\, musical acts\, athletes\, and celebrity chefs for 90 minutes of chat\, entertainment – and a lot of laughs. Since 2013\, Mondays Dark has partnered with over 30 local charities. It’s mission is to raise 10k in 90 minutes. The $20 variety show has become one of the hottest tickets in town and the list of charities waiting to partner with Mondays Dark continues to grow. Mondays Dark has raised over $500\,000 and every penny has stayed here in Las Vegas with each of it’s featured charities. \n\nThe Las Vegas Firefighter Youth Hockey Foundation is a 501 (C)3  non-profit organization founded by Las Vegas area Firefighters. They  founded the LVFFYH in hopes to assist Las Vegas area youth in two specific areas. Mondays Dark has raised over $500\,000 and every penny has stayed here in Las Vegas with each of it’s featured charities. \n\nAdam’s Place\, a Grief Center for Children and Families was established in memory of Adam Gregory Thomas. Adam was a 21-year-old college senior at the University of Nevada\, Reno when he sustained life-ending injuries from a car crash in Reno\, Nevada in March of 2007. Adam left behind his father\, George Thomas\, mother\, Kelly Thomas-Boyers\, and younger brother\, Alec Thomas. \nKelly returned to the University of Nevada\, Reno in May 2007 in support of memorial activities and the Adam Thomas Legislative Intern Scholarship. It was there that she found a brochure for the Solace Tree Program\, a grieving support center for children\, teens and adults in Reno. The idea of a place for her younger son\, Alec\, to go and work through his grief made a great impact on her. Kelly set out to find a similar program in Las Vegas upon her return\, but couldn’t find one. \nAfter intensive research\, guidance from the executive director\, Emilio Parga\, of Solace Tree in Reno\, and many talks with social workers\, doctors\, nurses and school counselors\, Kelly launched Adam’s Place in Southern Nevada with the help of a grant that Emilio applied for. Adam’s Place opened its doors in 2010 and has been serving the Southern Nevada community ever since. \nSUNBUGGY is proud to collaborate with MONDAY’S DARK to benefit ADAM’S PLACE\, and to donate this package valued at $500.00.

SUMMARY:2018 Ventura County Sheriff's Search & Rescue Fundraiser
DESCRIPTION:The volunteers of the Ventura County Sheriff’s Department Search & Rescue Upper Ojai Unit best demonstrated their skills during the Thomas Fire and the subsequent mudslide in Montecito. Those disasters and other search and rescue operations in mountain\, canyon\, and urban settings are why the volunteers train on average about 3\,000 hours per year. \nThey are holding a fundraising event at Boccali’s Restaurant in Ojai\, Sunday\, October 5\, 2014 from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m. The fundraiser includes dinner and live music\, lots of raffle items and a silent auction will be held \nLooking forward to seeing you there and thank you for your supporting the Ventura County – Upper Ojai Search and Rescue Team. \nSunBuggy is happy to make two donations to the raffle.  Each donation is for 2 hours in one of our custom built 2-seat dune buggies at our Pismo Beach location!

DESCRIPTION:Twice a month Mark Shunock gathers an eclectic cast of guests including stars from Hollywood\, the Strip\, musical acts\, athletes\, and celebrity chefs for 90 minutes of chat\, entertainment – and a lot of laughs. Since 2013\, Mondays Dark has partnered with over 30 local charities. It’s mission is to raise 10k in 90 minutes. The $20 variety show has become one of the hottest tickets in town and the list of charities waiting to partner with Mondays Dark continues to grow. Mondays Dark has raised over $500\,000 and every penny has stayed here in Las Vegas with each of it’s featured charities. \n\nThe Officer Down Memorial Page\, Inc.\, (ODMP) is a non-profit organization dedicated to honoring America’s fallen law enforcement heroes. More than 22\,000 officers have made the ultimate sacrifice in the United States since 1791\, and it is with great honor that the ODMP preserves their memories within its pages. SUMMARY:Vet Center - Background of Readjustment Counseling Service
DESCRIPTION:The Readjustment Counseling Service (RCS) / Vet Center Program was established by congress in 1979 out of the recognition that a significant number of Vietnam Era Veterans were still experiencing readjustment problems.  Vet Centers community based and a branch of the Department of Veterans Affairs. \nThe goal of the Vet Center program is to provide a broad range of counseling\, outreach\, and referral services to eligible Veterans in order to help them make a satisfying post-war readjustment to civilian life.  All Vet Center services are provided at no cost to the Veteran or family. \nIn support of our Heroes\, we at SunBuggy are donating 2 gift certificates.  Each one is for a 60 tour in one of our 2 seat dune buggies.

SUMMARY:CASA Foundation Graduation Event
DESCRIPTION:The CASA Foundation in partnership with the Children’s Advocacy Alliance and the Department of Family Services will be hosting a graduation event once again for their foster children who are graduating from High School this year. \nAlthough graduation is exciting\, it can also be terrifying for graduates moving forward and out of the legal system. They attempt to make this transition a little less intimidating for them\, as they honor the graduate’s accomplishments\, and provide a few things to assist in the transition. In previous years\, through the generous support of the community\, they have been able to provide basic personal items such as towels\, toiletries\, gift cards\, bus passes and a back pack or duffel bag to each graduate. \nThis donation will be used as a raffle item during the event. It makes the event a little more fun and memorable for the graduate \nSunBuggy is happy to make two donations to this year’s raffle.  Each one is for a 1 hour ride in one of our 2 seat dune buggys.

Last year they saved over 25\,000 lost\, homeless\, and often mistreated animals. \nMuch like a public hospital\, as an open-admission shelter\, The Animal Foundation takes in every animal who comes to us in need\, no matter how sick or injured.
